An Introduction to Ayurveda with Monika Jaeckle

This workshop is an introduction to Ayurveda, the ancient healing medical tradition of India, and the sister school to Yoga.  During this three-hour workshop we will explore basic principles of Ayurveda and learn simple daily and seasonal practices to support our immunity and health during the spring months.

Through lecture and interactive discussion, you will learn about your individual constitution and how to choose foods as medicine, yoga poses, and daily routines that are uniquely supportive to you at this time of year.   It is through the small things you do everyday, that you compose a life of health, balance and meaning.

Fee: $50 per person, includes handouts and a Spring snack.  Pre-registration is required.  To reserve your spot email lindsay@riverhouseyoga.com.  If you have any questions about the workshop, email Monika mmjaeckle7@gmail.com.  Please sign up by April 20th.  Make checks payable to Monika Jaeckle.

Monika Jaeckle is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga for more that 25 years. She has integrated Ayurvedic practices in her own life for many years, and is currently studying under Dr Vasant Lad from the Ayurvedic Institute, and with Allison Morse from the Ayurvedic Center of Vermont. She understands that personal health practices that lead to transformation take time, and repeated effort to focus on what we know, and what we still need to learn. Monika is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. She enjoys developing ways of teaching that invite compassion for self and others. Bringing the ancient wisdom traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda into our current times, she hopes to inspire courage and creativity as we grow together in wisdom, strength and compassion.
