You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”
― Sharon Salzberg
This class is both for new and long time meditators and practitioners; no previous experience is needed or expected. Everybody is welcomed just as they are.
Please join Julie Macadam for an opportunity to attend and befriend yourself through the experience of self-observation, a revealing practice that supports understanding and equanimity. Such mindfulness, both on and off the cushion, has a great potential to transform the challenges and sufferings that are innate to human existence. These tools that will be offered are for you to take, work with, and access whether or not they are of benefit.
The class will move through an exploration of Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to ground the body and mind; a few simple postures to release any body tensions; teachings on loving-kindness meditation and a chance to engage in practice. There will be at least 30 minutes of seated meditation, if not more, and time for sharing at the end.
Cost $0-$40, sliding scale; pay what you can. Full gifts are always possible. Please make checks payable to Julie Macadam. Contact email@example.com for more information or inquiries.
